Privacy policy.
What happens to the information you send through this website.
This is a generic website privacy policy written to the shape most independent pharmacies use. It states nothing specific that the pharmacy hasn't confirmed — no retention period in years, no named analytics or hosting vendor, no state-law rights section. Before it goes live, University Pharmacy's counsel should read it, and the blanks it leaves deliberately open should be filled in.

What this policy covers
This policy describes what happens to the information you enter on this website — the refill, transfer, vaccine and message forms, and anything the site records about how it is used. Health information the pharmacy holds about you as a patient is handled separately, under the Notice of Privacy Practices.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in a form on this site you choose what to send. Depending on the form that may include your name, date of birth, postal address, phone number, email address, the name or number of a prescription, your current pharmacy, your insurance provider, and anything you write in a free-text field.
The forms ask you not to include diagnoses or other clinical detail. For anything about a specific prescription, please call the pharmacy on (432) 366-8821 rather than typing it into a form.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one may record basic technical information when you visit — the pages you open, the approximate region you are in, the type of device and browser you use, and the site you arrived from. This is used to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful.
How we use it
- To do the thing you asked for: fill a refill, request a transfer, book a vaccine appointment, or answer a message.
- To contact you about that request, by phone, text or email, using the details you gave.
- To keep the pharmacy's records accurate.
- To keep the website working, secure and useful.
- To meet legal and professional obligations that apply to a licensed pharmacy in Texas.
What we do not do
The pharmacy does not sell your personal information, and does not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Information is shared only where it is needed to provide the service or where the law requires it. That may include your prescriber, your insurance plan or pharmacy benefit manager, and service providers who operate systems on the pharmacy's behalf under written confidentiality obligations.
How long we keep it
Records are kept for as long as the pharmacy needs them to provide care and to meet the record-keeping requirements that apply to pharmacies in Texas. Information submitted through this site that is not part of a pharmacy record is kept only as long as it is needed to answer you.
Keeping information safe
The pharmacy uses reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect the information it holds. No website or email is completely secure, which is why the forms here ask you to keep clinical detail off them.
Your choices
- You can ask the pharmacy what information it holds about you, and ask for a correction if something is wrong.
- You can ask to stop receiving text or email notifications at any time.
- You can ask questions about any of this by calling (432) 366-8821 or emailing julio@myuniversityrx.com.
Rights relating to health information specifically are set out in the Notice of Privacy Practices.
Children
This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from a child. A parent or guardian can complete a form on behalf of a child in their care.
Links to other sites
Where this site links somewhere else — a map, a manufacturer, an insurer — that site has its own policy, and this one does not apply to it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top.
